MMMMMMmmmmmmmm!

I met a woman another called
friend
Within minutes of meeting I could tell a friendship would
begin.
We talked and laughed and soon met for lunch.
It was a pleasant exchange of chitter chatter and such.
Some things important others didn't matter as much.
Then it happened, a bag was placed in my hand.
It contained things that I felt I could withstand.
It was a wonderful bag of sweets,
A thank you she said for being kind and sweet.
There were m & m's in a bag.
I finished those before a full day had passed.
I moved on to the milk chocolate caramel pecan thing-a-mijig
That caused my bottom to do little jig (okay so it wasn't
a little jig).
Soon after that I was caught in a frenzy,
When caramel, cashews and dark chocolate sent my taste buds
into a tizzy.
What is this stuff, I asked myself.
And how could it be that my defenses from me have left?
Where is my self control?
What happened to my restraint?
Help me somebody, I'm drawing a blank.
Who could do this to me? Make me look like I'm a chocolate
head?
It's 2 o'clock in the morning and I'm rumbling through that
bag of goodies beside my bed!
Oh! if my children find out I know what they will say.
"Mom can't control herself she hasn't had her chocolate
fix today!"
Imagine the taunts! Even worse, imagine the hunts!
Hunts for chocolate in the middle of the night!!!
If I can't find them I know it will cause me to fright.
Who did this? Who did this to me?
It couldn't have been that kind woman who appeared as friendly
as could be?
Did she not know? Did she not care?
That that bag of goodies would cause such scare?
Godiva I on't have to do. Lindts I can pass by to.
But Sweet M's Candy World has me in a whirl!
Maryjayne, Maryjayne, I'm gonna git you girl!
I LOVE the candy. I've given my husband your website address
and asked him to never buy Godiva again.
Truly delicious!!!!
Andrea

Blog by Victoria
If you’re ever in Atlanta and in search of a sugar buzz,
make time to go to Sweet M’s Candy World in Northlake Mall.
Sweet M’s is one of those great little places that makes the
most of its space by lining the walls with everything from
Jelly Belly jellybeans to Ghiradelli chocolate. Custom boxes
in several sizes can be filled with gourmet truffles or any
other candy in the store.
One of the coolest parts of Sweet M’s is the selection of
retro and novelty candy, including French Chew Taffy, Bit-O-Honey,
and Sugar Babies. If you can’t make it to Atlanta, Sweet M’s
has an online store. It’s not quite as fun as sorting through
bins of candy and snapping up some impulse buys, but it should
hold you over until you can check out the shop in person.

Snickers Childhood Memory
|
|
I remember little of my childhood,
but at least one memory lingers. In the late '60s, my mother
had a parttime job as a waitress. I remember there were days
when my father would take me, my brother and sister to the
restaurant to pick up Mom. After she got into the station
wagon, we'd eagerly await the surprise - a Snickers bar for
each of us. She wouldn't always have them. Unlike these days,
a Snickers bar was a treat indeed. I can still picture myself
sitting on the front porch after returning home, eating my
candy bar in small bites to make it last. It's difficult to
think of Snickers as a retro candy, but for me it's more about
the time in my life when little things still mattered.
Thanks for letting me share that memory.

Bubblegum Cigars Save the Day!
|
|
Dear Ms. Carter,
I wanted to thank you for supplying bubblegum cigars. I was
the frantic college student who purchased 18 cigars for her
presentation on Sunday. Let me just say that the bubblegum
cigars really made my presentation extra special and very
original in the eyes of my professor. Thank you again and
I look forward to visiting your store again!

the horrible news that they were discontinued!!! Well... as

be my favorite candy in the whole world!!!! It just takes
me back and brings back so many wonderful memories, yeah I'm

Sweet

Single Celebration? Try a Wine and Chocolate Party What are some fun ways for singles to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be a holiday that only couples can enjoy. There are many ways singles, friends and even groups of couples can get together and celebrate.
One idea is to host a chocolate tasting party or a chocolate and wine pairing party. Of course, with such a wide variety of chocolates to choose from, it helps to have a sense of people’s preferences. According to a recent survey by the National Confectioner’s Association (NCA), men consider specialty chocolates such as truffles, pralines and caramels the sexiest Valentine’s Day treat. On the other hand, women gravitated towards milk chocolate as the sexiest sweet to share on Valentine’s Day.
If you choose to host a chocolate and wine pairing party, make sure not to overpower either the chocolate or the wine. Dark chocolate, a heart-healthy treat and men’s second choice for sexiest sweet according to NCA’s survey, is usually the best match for wine because it has many flavors that are similar to wine. The bolder, more full-bodied wines work best with dark chocolate, such as Syrah, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet.
Our friends at the Chocolate Manufacturers Association share this fun fact:
